Prayer vigils are being arranged in Sudbury over the next three weeks to enable people throughout the town to light a candle and say a prayer for the people in the Middle East.

They are at St Gregory’s Church on Saturday, August 30, from 10am to 4pm, and at St Peter’s on Thursdays, August 21 and 28, from 9.45am to 2pm.

“The suffering that is taking place in Israel, Palestine, and Iraq is beyond our comprehension,” said organiser Lynda Sebbage.
