TWO Saturday workshops focusing on flowers – how to draw them and how to make them out of sugar – are being held in Sudbury in June and July.
Taking place at the Leap Centre, in Cornard Road, the first one will be on June 16 and will cover botanical illustration.
Students will learn how to draw and paint seasonal flowers at the workshop led by Christine Grey-Wilson, a former Kew Garden illustrator and illustrator of books. She has a gold medal from the Royal Horticultural Society for an exhibition of botanical drawings.
On July 7, a sugarcraft workshop will be held with Glenda Price where students will make life-sized roses from icing. Glenda has been teaching sugarcraft for more than 30 years and makes bespoke celebration cakes.
Both courses are run by West Suffolk College in Sudbury. To book a place or for more information, call 01787 880619.
