A Sudbury woman is due to appear in court as part of an investigation into a missing £30,000 grant assigned to a youth club.

Lucy McNaul, of Grenville Road, is due to attend Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

The 44-year-old was questioned by police two years ago after £29,400 was awarded to The Works Sudbury Limited, a not-for-profit social enterprise, which listed Mrs McNaul as a director.

The money was allocated from the Government’s community cashback scheme, to be put towards a youth club in East Street.

A criminal investigation was launched after no evidence of the club’s existence could be found.
