Why I'm proud of town and its people
Sue Brotherwood has seen Sudbury change and evolve both as a youngster growing up in the town and as town clerk.
She feels Sudbury has its own identity despite the fact that it is growing.
She said: "I am proud of having been born in Sudbury and lived nearly all my life in either Great Cornard or Sudbury.
"I have seen many changes over the years and, despite the fact that Sudbury has grown and continues to grow, I believe it has retained its identity, with a lovely town centre, the twice-weekly market, and an excellent selection of shops and businesses.
"I love Sudbury's wonderful and intriguing history, the magnificent architecture of our buildings and our beautiful water meadows.
"We have a phenomenal array of groups and organisations, community and voluntary, in the town, something for most people to enjoy.
"I am very proud of the achievements that some of our sporting, artistic and cultural groups and individuals have accomplished.
"I am proud of the fact that whenever there is a crisis, the people of Sudbury can always be relied upon to respond and fight the cause.
"And, finally, I am very proud to be clerk to a council which cares about Sudbury, and who do all they can to improve the town for all residents."
