What the blazers is this?

DISGRUNTLED parents have hit out after a school’s uniform debacle left pupils without essential clothing for the start of term.

Many students at the Ormiston Sudbury Academy – previously Sudbury Upper School – arrived for the first day of the new school year minus blazers, jumpers and sports kit yesterday after an almighty mix up.

Youngsters – some preparing for the biggest day in their young lives following the step up from middle school – were faced with clothing that was up to three sizes too small.

A frantic scramble to exchange ill-fitting garments for the correct sizes ensued the day before the new school term began, with irate parents queuing for hours behind Needlepoint Designs in Gaol Lane to make the switch.

But demand for larger sizes was so great a number of students came away empty handed and will need to wait for replacements to come into stock, further angering frustrated parents.
