Two hurt as car hits tree in Great Cornard

A CAR crashed into a tree in Great Cornard on Monday, causing two more cars to collide.

The driver of a red BMW hit the tree in Shawlands Avenue shortly before 8.45am.

An ambulance and police attended, to find a woman in her 30s suffering back and shoulder pain and another person in their 50s with back pain. Neither was taken to hospital and were treated at the scene.

Shortly afterwards, an orange Nissan and a blue Nissan collided as a result of the first incident, with no serious injuries reported.

The road was partially closed while all three cars were cleared.
