A gun dog trainer given permission to run his business following a series of appeals is looking to change the conditions of his planning agreement.

Paul Sims, who runs Simbos Gun Dogs and Grooming in Stone Street, Boxford, wants to bring forward the time he starts work by an hour for between October and March.

Under an agreement with Babergh District Council, Mr Sims currently operates the business from 10am to 5pm from Monday to Saturday – except Wednesdays, when he opens till 7pm – and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays.

He wants to bring this time forward to 9am and finish an hour earlier. Working hours on Sunday would remain the same.

Mr Sims has previously received complaints for operating his business without planning consent.

Three neighbours have written to the council objecting to the change.

A decision will be made on Wednesday.
