Tractor man puts out fire

A man was treated for the effects of smoke inhalation after fighting a tractor blaze.

Fire crews from Sudbury and Long Melford were called after the tractor caught fire at Lavenham Road, Bridge Street, on Tuesday morning.

When they got there they found the tractor driver had already put out the fire, said a Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said a man had been treated at the scene for breathing difficulties caused by inhaling smoke.
