Thieves steal £16,000 of cabling in Acton

Hundreds of residents in Acton have been left without a phone line after £16,000 of cabling was stolen.

The theft took place in Sudbury Road, between Acton and Newmans Green, between 5pm on Thursday and 10am the next day.

A spokeswoman from Suffolk Police said more than 750 metres of copper telephone cabling was taken.
