Theft charge

A MAN accused of stealing more than £1,000 from businesses in Sudbury has appeared in court.

Shane Boggis, 40, attended Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Thursday charged with stealing cash boxes worth £928, a laptop, camera, hard drive and £210 from Gallery 47, Lighter Life and an IT company in Gainsborough Street, Sudbury.

The alleged thefts took place on February 21.

Boggis, of Meopham Court, Colchester, was released on conditional bail to return to court on November 9. No plea was entered.
