Teenage bikers do it for charity

Two teenagers who did a 40-mile bike ride are to hand over the £420 they raised from friends and family in sponsorship to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Evan White, 15, of Willow Corner, Edwardstone, and Patrick Bray, 14, of Daking Avenue, Boxford, were inspired by the help the charity gave Evan’s late grandfather before he died from cancer.

Both keen cyclists, the pair rode a circular route through villages starting at Pebmarsh and finishing at Lindsey. It took them around six hours.

“It was a worthwhile challenge and hard work but we really enjoyed it,” said Patrick.
