An area of Sudbury has been cordoned off after a man’s body was found this morning.
Police were called to Lucas Road by ambulance crews at 10.30am following the discovery of the body.
A police spokesman said the death was being treated as suspicious, with inquiries ongoing and a post mortem to be carried out tomorrow.
The man is thought to be in his 40s but no formal identification has taken place.
The cordon is likely to remain in place throughout tomorrow as police carry out inquiries and crime scene investigators attend.
Residents are being escorted in and out of the block of flats by police officers.
Police at the scene confirmed that the cordon had been extended to include the nearby car park.
