Sudbury drug delivery Facebook page closed down

SOCIAL networking website Facebook has removed a profile that was being used to sell drugs in Sudbury.

The page, which was being operated under the name Mephedrone Delivery Sudbury Suffolk, promised to drop the drug off "anywhere within Sudbury and local areas in half-an-hour".

Mephedrone, also known as "meow meow", was being sold by the gram as plant food and labelled "not for human consumption" to sidestep drug laws.

More than 100 people were "friends" with the delivery service, including the Black Lion pub, Glemsford, Bitz and Pizzas takeaway, Sudbury, and town centre nightspots Silkworm and Vita.

See this week's Suffolk Free Press for the full details.
