Sudbury vets seek home for loveable ferret
Vets are trying to find a new home for a loveable ferret who was handed in after being found wandering the streets of Sudbury.
The young female, who has been nicknamed Stinky, was handed in to the veterinary surgery at Mulberry Court, in Melford Road, Sudbury, over a week ago.
Staff have appealed in vain for the owner to come forward and now they are looking to find a loving home for a little ferret they have taken to their hearts. Veterinary nurse Paula Walbank said: "She is absolutely adorable and we have all been desperately trying to sort our houses out to try and do that, but we just can't.
"She is so tame and lovely and she is always wanting a cuddle.
"It is hard to think someone had just found her and had to hand her in."
Staff at the surgery are appealing to anyone who can provide the young ferret with a safe home to contact them and say people shouldn't be put off by the temporary name.
"Stinky is only a nickname and she doesn't smell that much," said Paula. "But she is just a lovely animal."
Anyone who thinks they can provide a home for Stinky should contact Mulberry Court Veterinary Surgery on 01787 881888.
