Concerned parishioners of Churches Together in Sudbury and the district have arranged a music-led service to protest for peace and support children affected by war in the Middle East.

A Song For Peace, led by the Rev. Malcolm Hill, will be a service with music and words in the Christ United Reformed Church in School Street on Sunday.

A collection will be taken at the service on behalf of the Home of Hope aiding children of Syria and Lebanon.

“We believe every wrong can be righted by intelligent effort,” said Rev. Hill. “Peace can only be made by people meeting, facing up to their disputes and cooperating.

“This means that we will follow up a Song For Peace by inviting Christians to meet members of other faiths and ideologies.”

The service will begin at 6.30pm, for more information call Rev. Hill on 01787 375503.
