Sudbury party to donate cash

FIVE Sudbury causes will receive donations from a popular town council event next month.

The fourth Party in the Park will take place on Sunday, July 22, from 11am and feature entertainment and family fun at Belle Vue Park, including live music and the Suffolk School of Samba.

This year, a share of the profits will go towards a fundraising appeal supporting a number of local causes, including The Quay Theatre, Eden’s Project, AFC Grassroots, Go START and Helping Hands, with additional funds to be given from council-run events up to April next year.

Party in the Park will include displays from dance, zumba and exercise groups, children’s entertainer Mad Dominic, and activities away from the main area including circus skills, tennis, football, basketball and hockey skills, a number of workshops, a climbing wall, skateboarding and BMX displays.

Collection boxes and a stand will also be present on the day, which is expected to attract more than 2,000 people.
