Traffic travelling in and out of Sudbury is facing delays this morning after a car crash resulted in power lines being brought down.
The crash, involving a Ford Mondeo and silver Peugeot 206, took place at around 6.15am in Melford Road, with a car colliding with the electrical pole. The road between St Bartholomews Lane and Brundon Lane has been closed in both directions while UK Power Networks repair the fallen power cables.
Homes and businesses in the area are currently without power and the road could be closed for most of the day.
No-one was injured in the crash.
