Long Melford Street Fair is returning with thousands of visitors set to descend on the village for the annual fete.

The fair takes place on Sunday, July 13, between 3pm and 8pm, and promises to be another hit, with the street packed out with a wide variety of stalls and vendors and a whole host of family entertainment.

Already, the event is officially a sell-out with all pitches having been sold.

Speaking about the fair, organising committee chairman John Nunn said the reason it was so successful was because it was a “unique event in the area”.

He added: “It seems to go down well with the locals.”

This year, new fairground rides have been brought in and there is a fresh line-up of musical acts.

If rain does fall it won’t halt the fun Mr Nunn said.

“I think it’s still a good day regardless.

“I hope people turn up and enjoy themselves.”

Todd Lewis, another of those on the committee, said: “It’s a fun-packed family day out. Our aim is to entertain with amazing entertainment for all.”
