Stoke-by-Nayland parish council has been voted the best in the county by judges.

Members were recognised for the council’s organisation, presentation of meetings and community involvement by judges from the county council, after coming second in the Babergh category of Suffolk Village of the Year.

“We were very pleased as a lot of councillors have been involved a long time and have worked very hard,” said councillor Alan Shrosbery.
