Spate of burglaries in Glemsford

Police are appealing for information following a series of shed and garage burglaries in Glemsford.

All the break-ins took place within the space of an hour on Monday.

In the first incident a garage in Angel Lane was broken into between 5pm and 6pm. Nothing was stolen.

At around 5.40pm in the same road an attempt was made to break into a garden shed. Damage was caused to the shed door before the burglars – two white males in their late 20s, between 5 feet 8 inches and 6ft tall – were disturbed and fled in a red hatchback car with a roof rack.

At around 5.45pm a club building on Hunts Hill was broken into and a green safe containing cash was stolen.

Anyone with information relating to these incidents is asked to contact Suffolk Police on 101 reference SU/13/128.
