School record breakers

PUPILS at a school in Belchamp St Paul have been officially recognised as record breakers.

Guinness World Records has confirmed that the world record for the most people signing and singing a song simultaneously was broken earlier this year – and youngsters from Belchamp St Paul Primary School were among those who took part.

A total of 80 people from the school sang and signed their way through a special song for the record attempt in February and raised £81 for SignHealth – a charity for deaf people.

The event saw a total of 114,227 pupils and teachers take part.
