Sale to support Sesaw

ANIMAL rescue centre helper Jedcia Rose is hoping that a fundraising sale will go like hot cakes this weekend.

Jedcia, 16, who lives in Polstead and is a pupil at Great Cornard Upper School, is a volunteer at the Leavenheath-based Sesaw and will be helping bake cakes for a sale to raise money for the charity.

The cake stall is being held in Boxford on Saturday.

Biscuit the ferret, who is pictured with Jedcia, is one of several ferrets at the animal centre currently waiting to get rehomed.

Sesaw fundraiser Patricia Ferdinando said: “Volunteers are busy cooking up a yummy selection of cakes and preserves to raise funds.

“The goodies will be on sale outside Boxford News, in Broad Street, at 9am, but people will need to get there early to avoid disappointment – last year they sold out in just over two hours.”
