A road safety campaigner has admitted being caught speeding and using his mobile phone while at the wheel.
Graham Newman, who is chairman of the Suffolk RoadSafe partnership, has apologised for the two separate incidents.
He said he took responsibility for his actions and wanted to learn from the experience.
Mr Newman, who is also a Suffolk county councillor, was caught doing 37mph in a 30mph limit in Ipswich and, in a separate incident, was spotted checking emails on his phone while at the wheel, again in Ipswich.
He completed a speed awareness course for the speeding incident.
