The management of the cabin in Sudbury’s Belle Vue Park may be offered to an entrepreneur.

The booth – selling snacks, sweets and hot drinks – had previously been run by five charities, with all profits split between the groups.

Volunteers from Helping Hands, Go START, The Quay Theatre, Eden’s Project and AFC Grassroots were needed to work at the cabin.

During a Sudbury Town Council meeting last week, Simon Barrett said this had made organising its management difficult.

“I think we should put it out to tender and get someone else to run it,” he said.

Lesley Ford-Platt said it was an opportunity for someone to make money, as the town council was unlikely to employ someone. The idea will be passed to Babergh District Council, which owns the cabin.
