Each of the 620 pubs and bars from the award-winning Stonegate Pub Company are taking part in Britain’s Biggest Pub Tour (BBPT), including a visit to Sudbury, organising fundraising events galore to raise money for Variety, the Children’s Charity.

As well as hosting fun events at the pubs, across towns and cities from the Isle of Wight to Inverness, a giant BBPT passport is journeying 5,555 miles throughout the UK visiting each Stonegate business, by an assortment of unique and entertaining methods of transport.

Once in Sudbury on Saturday (August 23), the tour will visit the Silkworm at Queensbury House.

On the Sunday morning the team from the Silkworm will put on their best superhero outfits, pick up a barrel and push the passport to the train station taking it to its next destination in Stowmarket.

From there it will go to Ipswich and then embark on a bike ride to Colchester.

The company smashed its fundraising target of £100,000 within just six weeks of the 19-week tour, putting it on track to be the biggest ever single fundraising event in aid of Variety with over £170,000 raised so far.
