Police warn bag thief

POLICE are issuing a warning to a bag thief who stole prescription drugs.

Officers were called to Sudbury town centre at around 12.45pm on Saturday after a carrier bag was stolen from a shopper in North Street.

The victim of the theft told police the bag contained strong painkillers and two forms of antidepressants.

Police are now warning the thief and anyone who may be offered the medication it could be harmful.

“As with any prescription medication, these pills could be dangerous if taken by anyone they are not prescribed for,” said a Suffolk Police spokeswoman.
