A Sudbury man has been charged with production of cannabis as part of county-wide crackdown on criminal behaviour.

Sam Sandford, from Station Road, was charged with production of cannabis after a warrant was carried out for his arrest.

The 24-year-old will appear at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 17.

The day of action was aimed at targeting and disrupting those known to be committing crime in the county.

Seven people were arrested during the day-long campaign.

“We carry out these days of action throughout the year in order to target and disrupt criminals, particularly those who are involved or associated with burglaries, which we know are crimes people feel most concerned about,” said temporary Chief Inspector Caroline Millar, from Suffolk Police.
