LIBRARY VISIT: Playgroup marks National Storytelling Week with trip to Sudbury Library.

Acton Playgroup pupils went on a special trip to Sudbury library on Tuesday to find out about storytelling and the fun that can be had at their library.

The group travelled from Acton by bus, armed with maps to help them spot signs and buildings along the way, before visiting the library with staff and parents.

Kim Schwenk, lead practitioner at the playgroup, said: “We want to instill a love of books in the children and it’s National Storytelling Week and National Libraries Day on Saturday, so the children had the chance to get a library card if they wanted too.” After a bite to eat at The Honey B cafe, the group returned to Acton.
