Play needs young faces

A CALL for teenagers to take part in a play has gone out from the Sudbury Dramatic Society at The Quay Theatre.

The society is deep in rehearsals for its forthcoming production of Calendar Girls in October, as well as finishing casting for its annual pantomime in December, which will be Cinderella.

But the drama group is now looking for young people to take part in its first performance of 2013, a play called Our Town set in the 1930s following the daily life of the inhabitants of a small town in America.

Auditions are taking place on Monday, September 24, at 7.30pm, at The Quay Theatre, and the society is looking for around 15 people, aged from 16 and upwards. Cast members will get help with American accents.

Scripts are available for short-term loan from the Quay’s box office or contact sudburydramatic@supanet.com for more information.
