Young musicians are being encouraged to take part in Bures Music Festival.

Talented singers, bands and choirs between the ages of nine and 19 can now sign up to compete in B-Fest, which is held during the event in July.

The winner will perform on the final day of the main festival, held on Bures Recreation Ground.

It is the tenth year B-Fest has been run and it has helped the progress of a number of future stars, including last year’s winners Vera Lones.

The festival, which started in 1997, has raised £157,000 for charity.

To enter B-Fest go to www.buresmusicfestival.com. The closing date for entries in June 30.
