The owner of a bull terrier from Nayland has been charged with two counts of allowing her pet to be dangerously out of control.

Sue Elkin, of Wissington Road, appeared at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

It is alleged the 56-year-old’s dog, Effie, injured two people in Wiston Road on June 10.

Elkin has yet to enter a plea in relation to either charge.

The case was adjourned until February 11 at Ipswich Crown Court. Elkin was granted bail.
