Inspired by Mary Berry’s return to our screens as the queen of British baking, the Bridge Project in Sudbury held their own bake off competition.
Approximately 60 visitors and students of the charity packed the centre’s courtyard to enjoy the keenly fought competition.
The lucky tasters were provided with a voting form and invited to tuck in to the many competition cakes.
A wide selection of culinary delights awaited their hungry mouths, with double ginger cookies and coconut pyramids facing off against traditional classics including victoria sponge and the eventual winning entry, the carrot cake.
Winners Alyson Tampion and student Claire Dovell were the bakers of this masterpiece, earning themselves a certificate.
The centre was set up to assist disadvantaged adults within the community.
