A man who was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a crash involving a double-decker bus in Sudbury, has been released without charge.

The collision involving four other cars took place at around 10.10am this morning (Tuesday) in Newton Road.

Two men were treated for neck and back injuries after the bus collided with the rear of a car in front, shunting it forward into other stationary vehicles.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk Police said a man had been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre. It is believed the man, who was later released with no further action taken, was the bus driver.
