Work to create a new footpath linking Stoke-by-Nayland to Nayland alongside the B1087 is now complete.
The project was funded thanks to a £1,500 grant from The Dedham Vale Project sustainable development fund, with the balance of £500 provided by the Nayland with Wissington Conservation Society.
Society secretary Andora Carver said: “The creation of this path will be of great benefit to the local community, as well as to visitors to the Dedham Vale.
“It would not have been possible without the generosity of the Tendring Hall Estate and the Dedham Vale Project.”
The new link will be officially opened on Thursday, May 3.
