Man’s £10k drugs charge

A SUDBURY man who produced cannabis with a street value of £10,000 has appeared in court.

Benjamin Gurney, of Newton Road, pleaded guilty to growing 26 cannabis plants in his spare room and possessing a wrap of cocaine on June 14 when he appeared at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court today.

The 38-year-old gave no plea to possessing cannabis with intent to supply. He will return to court on November 30.
