Man flown to hospital

A MOTORCYCLIST was flown to hospital by air ambulance after sustaining a serious leg injury in a crash.

The man, who is in his 40s, suffered a fractured shin and pelvic injuries, when his motorbike was in collision with a Toyota car in Aldham Tye, near Hadleigh.

Police closed Whatfield Road following the crash at around 4pm on Thursday and paramedics treated the man.

He was flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where his condition was described as serious but not life threatening.

The road was reopened by 5.30pm.
