A MAN who staged a campaign of harassment against a woman has appeared in court.

Edward Odwell, of Station Road, Sudbury, attended Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged with harassment without violence.

The 37-year-old pleaded guilty to sending text messages and messages via social networking sites to Nicola Harman between May 24 and July 7.

Odwell was given a restraining order preventing him contacting Mrs Harman. He was also fined £100, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £15 victim surcharge.
