Hand yourself in, police tell driver who fled accident

Police are hunting a motorist who fled the scene of an accident in which three people were injured.

Officers want the driver of a green or blue Mazda who failed to stop after a two-vehicle crash on the A134 between Alpheton and Shimpling on Thursday to contact them.

The crash took place at around 4.40pm and resulted in a silver Vauxhall Corsa colliding with a tree.

Three people were injured, one of which – a woman – was taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds with back injuries.

The Mazda had a black vinyl roof and drove off in the direction of Bury. Call police on 101.
