THE winner of a Free Press competition has been united with his prize.

Glenn Humphreys, from Sudbury, successfully entered our competition to win a Premier League football shirt of his choice last month.

The contest, which was run in conjunction with Sudbury Sports in North Street, saw Mr Humphreys correctly answer that shop owner Dave Blackerry’s favourite football team was Championship side West Ham United.

Last Monday, Mr Humphreys collected his chosen prize – an Arsenal shirt complete with a personalised name and number on the back.

“I was absolutely stunned when I found out because I have never won anything in my life,” said the 41-year-old, who is a lifelong Arsenal fan.

“I am chuffed to bits and have been telling anyone who will listen about what happened.

“I’ve been wearing my shirt every chance I get.”
