Group creates buzz

A GROUP of 30 voluntary groups in the Sudbury district, who joined forces to offer mutual support in the face of recession-imposed cuts, have re-launched with a new name - Hive.

The group secured funding from Suffolk County Council’s Transforming Suffolk Innovation Fund to provide better training for volunteers, access to information, as well as initiating community and fundraising events.

Hive member. Anesta Newson, from The Bridge Project said: “We’re delighted to have this new, united visual for group. It really reflects our shared belief that we can take positive action, together, to empower ourselves in this trying time.”
