Great Cornard woman taken to hospital with knife wounds

A WOMAN from Great Cornard required surgery after self-harming with a knife last night.

Armed police were called to a house in Butt Road after a woman threatened to injure herself using a knife at around 6pm.

They eventually gained entry at 9.45pm, where the woman was discovered to have self-harmed.

She was taken to West Suffolk Hospital by ambulance where she underwent surgery for her injuries.
