Fraud probe continues

INVESTIGATIONS into a pension fraud scam, in which a Halstead man was arrested, are continuing.

The 52-year-old was arrested on suspicion of fraud and money laundering, along with two other men from Ipswich, in February.

The arrests came after the Pensions Regulator received complaints about the apparent fraudulent transfer of pensions last year.

The man answered bail at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on Tuesday and had his bail extended until Thursday.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk Police said investigations were ongoing.
