A FUNDRAISING appeal in aid of a centre which supports adults with learning difficulties received a £600 boost at the weekend.
A five-a-side football tournament and family fun day held at AFC Sudbury’s MEL group Stadium on Saturday raised funds for the Sudbury Resource Centre.
Centre manager Marion Corner said: “Despite a few initial hiccups, the football tournament was a fantastic success, and raised a lot of money. Everybody had a great day.
“I would like to thank all the teams that took part and AFC Sudbury for providing the facilities free of charge.”
The year-long fundraising appeal has been further boosted by cash donations from Sudbury firm Prolog, and the Horse and Groom pub in East Street.
