SUMMER FUN: Youngsters play out a tune at school fete.

A variety of activities, plus a range of well-stocked stalls, meant parents, children and villagers were spoilt for choice at Nayland Primary School’s summer fete.

The event, which featured a gymnastics display, dance act and music from the school’s brass band, raised a record £1,900 for school funds on Saturday.

Home School Association vice-chairman Drina May said: “It was a lovely day and we were really busy, well supported by the community as well as parents and staff.”
