Events for Megan appeal

A SERIES of events this month will support the Free Press Megan Roper Appeal.

The four-year-old’s grandad, Len Jarvis, is holding a dance and raffle at Long Melford Village Hall on Saturday to raise funds for the campaign and celebrate his 70th birthday at the same time.

On Sunday, car boot items will be on offer in a “sale trail” outside the youngster’s home in Swanfield, between midday and 3pm.

Next Saturday, a coffee afternoon is planned in Cotswold Drive and the appeal will also host a stall at the Long Melford Street Fair on July 15. A dartathon, to aid the £20,000 appeal to help transform Megan’s family home, will take place at Long Melford Working Men’s Club on July 21, and the following Sunday, Megan’s dad, Carl, and friend Glen Andrews take on the Spartan Run in Cambridge.
