Driver freed after Aldham crash

A DRIVER was freed from his car by firefighters after crashing into a ditch and hitting a telegraph pole.

The man, who was trapped, was rescued at around 7.50am on Monday following the crash in Cosford Road, Aldham.

He was freed from a blue Ford S-Max by 8.10am and was treated by paramedics for hand injuries.

Engineers from BT were called to help repair the damaged telegraph pole and overhead wires.
