Students from Ryes College in Assington set up a pop-up shop in Sainsbury’s in Sudbury to help raise money for charity and learn vital skills needed for the world of work.

The students from the Pump Farm campus were beginning a year-long campaign to raise money for children’s charity Barnardos.

The pop-up shop not only began the fundraising activities, but gave the pupils, who are on the autistic spectrum, a chance to learn about business and work.

In the morning, Sainsbury’s staff helped teach them about customer service before they were let loose to raise as much money as the could.
