A series of football matches are being held on Saturday in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.

Delphi employee Joe Beggs is starting his summer of fundraising by organising a series of matches which will feature teams from local businesses, including Delphi and Nestle Puriná.

Later in the year, Joe, 27, will attempt to complete his very own air, land and sea challenge.

He will climb the UK’s three highest peaks, kayak from Sudbury to the sea and jump out of a plane from 12,000ft, free-falling at up to speeds of 120mph.

“It’s an amazing honour to be able to help,” said Joe.

The match will take place at the Delphi Football Ground in Alexandra Road, Sudbury, at 10am.

Entrance is free but donations will be accepted.
