Firefighters used cutting equipment to remove the roof of a car and free a trapped man after a crash in Long Melford.

The collision, involving a Land Rover and Ford Fiesta, took place at Rodbridge Corner on Sunday at around 1.30pm.

Two fire crews from Sudbury and one from Long Melford attended the crash, which blocked the road in both directions.

A man who suffered minor injuries was released and treated by paramedics.

The road was reopened within an hour.
