Pupils from a Sudbury primary school have been enjoying the glorious sunshine by getting outside and trying a new fitness craze.
It may be unfamiliar to most, but that has not stopped pupils at St Gregory’s Primary School learning some of the dance moves in bokwa, a South African-inspired aerobic dance class.
Students “danced letters of the alphabet” to the latest chart music, as well learning moves including the “Superman”.
Keen bokwa fan and teacher Laura Williams helped to organise the class for the children.
“I have been attending bokwa classes myself for well over a year now and I love it,” she said.
“As a school, we are always looking for exciting opportunities to get children active and it seemed natural for me to share my passion with them.
“You do not need to be a dancer or have rhythm to take part in a bokwa class – you just need to know your alphabet.
“The children’s smiles made it clear that they enjoyed the experience and many children and parents asked for more.”
